I am a clinical psychologist specializing in individual, couples and family therapy. I maintain a private practice in Tucson, AZ and Chapel Hill, NC. I also manage a dynamic teletherapy service for those who cannot get into the office regularly (overseas executives or volunteers, artists on-site, stay-at-home-parents).
With over 20 years of experience as an individual, couples and family therapist, and as a former Assistant Professor at Columbia University, I currently serve as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of expertise and advanced training are depression and loss, anxiety, relationship healing and growth, cross-cultural issues, fertility, PTSD, eating disorders, LGBTQ issues, and couples in transition.
In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, I have presented at national conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of PTSD, attachment and parenting, eating disorders, cross-cultural sensitivity, couple communication, and supportive psychotherapy.
I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help build on strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
